{"id":300159,"date":"2021-01-16T07:48:43","date_gmt":"2021-01-16T05:48:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=300159"},"modified":"2021-01-16T07:48:46","modified_gmt":"2021-01-16T05:48:46","slug":"burglars-steal-n140-000-at-ongwediva","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=300159","title":{"rendered":"Burglars steal N$140 000 at Ongwediva"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Placido Hilukilwa<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>UNKOWN burglars that broke into the Kondjeni Youth Enterprise in the Northern View complex at Ongwediva during the night between 7 and 8 January and who stole electronic equipment and cash valued at N$140 000, are still at large.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to NamPol\u2019s inspector Thomas Aiyambo, the burglary was discovered Friday morning when employees arrived for work and found the business\u2019s front door slightly open but without any damage.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The business owner was promptly informed and a closer observation revealed that the thieves entered through the garage door \u2013 which was found open and damaged \u2013 and left using the aluminium front door which could be opened from inside without using a key.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"583\" height=\"578\" src=\"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Burglars-steal-N140-000-at-Ongwediva.jpg\" alt=\"Burglars steal Ongwediva Kondjeni Youth Enterprise Northern View complex\" class=\"wp-image-300161\" srcset=\"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Burglars-steal-N140-000-at-Ongwediva.jpg 300w, https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Burglars-steal-N140-000-at-Ongwediva.jpg 150w, https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Burglars-steal-N140-000-at-Ongwediva.jpg 36w, https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Burglars-steal-N140-000-at-Ongwediva.jpg 303w, https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Burglars-steal-N140-000-at-Ongwediva.jpg 583w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 583px) 100vw, 583px\" \/><figcaption>POLICE AFFAIRS: Inspector Thomas Aiyambo. &#8211; Photo: File<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The thieves are still at large and are unknown to the police.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The police in the Oshana Region has also reported the death of an eight-year-old boy, David Shikongo Eliaser, who drowned while swimming in the NamWater canal.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The deceased was part of a group of boys from the Oshikango location who went swimming in the canal in the Ompumbu area of Oshakati.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The body was retrieved by NamPol\u2019s Special Reserve Force and taken to the police mortuary.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>No foul play is suspected.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\"><!-- MetaSlider 271797 not found --><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":8,"featured_media":300164,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[24],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-300159","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.5 -
