{"id":299453,"date":"2020-12-23T16:50:04","date_gmt":"2020-12-23T14:50:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=299453"},"modified":"2020-12-23T16:50:06","modified_gmt":"2020-12-23T14:50:06","slug":"southern-dams-filling-up-again-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=299453","title":{"rendered":"Southern dams filling up again"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Ni\u00ebl Terblanch\u00e9<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>THE volume of rain that fell over large parts of southern Namibia at the start of the week was enough to increase the level of the Neckertal Dam with almost 12%.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Put into perspective the volume of water that flowed into the Neckertal Dam is almost enough to fill the Hardap Dam to the brim.<br \/>According to the dam bulletin provided by NamWater when the inflow started on Monday morning, the water level in the dam stood at 9.7%. By Wednesday morning the level stood at 21.6% which represents an increase of 11.9%.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At one stage, the Fish River flowed into the Namibia\u2019s newest dam at a rate of 1 237 cubic metres per second.
