brings hope to subsistence farmers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Ni\u00ebl Terblanch\u00e9<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>HEAVY thunderstorms over the Kavango East and Zambezi regions for the last few days where as much as 80 millimetres of rain was reported at places between Rundu and Katima Mulilo brought new hope to crop farmers.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Besides the good rains in northeastern Namibia, more downpours were reported over large parts of eastern, central, and even southern Namibia over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Some showers were reported as far as south as Aus, Grunau, and Aroab.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow aligncenter\" data-effect=\"slide\"><div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow_container swiper-container\"><ul and around Windhoek and to the east of the capital.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Further north, people living in Okahandja, Omaruru, Otjiwarongo, and Tsumeb also reported good rains since Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With regard to the rain forecast, the Namibia Meteorological Service issued a warning about heavy thundershowers in the area of Tsumkwe, as well as at places in the Omaheke, Khomas, Hardap, and \/\/Karas regions tomorrow and on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With regard to the weather in general, the meteorological service predicted partly cloudy and hot to very hot conditions with a few to isolated thundershowers but widespread in the eastern parts of Otjozondjupa, Khomas, Hardap, \/\/Karas, and Omaheke regions.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Coastal residents can expect partly cloudy and cool to warm weather conditions with fog patches.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\"><!-- MetaSlider 271797 not found
