commissions new ambassadors"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Staff Reporter<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>PRESIDENT Hage Geingob appointed 11 new ambassadors which will represent Namibia at the diplomatic missions in different countries to deepen diplomatic ties.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Among the newly issued heads of mission\u2019s is the former member of parliament, Margaret Mensah-Williams as Namibia&#8217;s top ambassador to the United States, Martin Andjaba, Federal Republic of Germany, Lebbius Tobias, the United Republic of Tanzania and Sipapela Sipapela, the Democratic Republic of the Congo.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The other ambassadors are Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, Ghana, Mbapeua Muvangua, Brazil, Nicolas Kandjii, Zimbabwe, Herman Diamonds, Malaysia, Elvis Sheweda, Senegal, Julia Chanduru-Imene, Switzerland, and Mekondjo Kaupanda-Girnus, Belgium.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow aligncenter\" data-autoplay=\"true\" data-delay=\"5\" swiper-pagination-white\"><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the commissioning of the new emissaries, Geingob said: \u201cOur foreign policy is an extension of our domestic policy. The social and economic well-being of all our people is paramount. Therefore, you should be cognizant at all times of the socio-economic challenges in our country and how we are trying to address them. During your diplomatic tour of duty, I expect Namibia to gain more trading partners. You must endeavour to find niche markets for our products, as well as to work towards improving our image and prestige, including our global competitiveness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>President Geingob has transferred Mr. Charles Josop as Ambassador-Designate to Finland.
