It is an area where everybody can make a contribution,\u201d said Shangula.<br \/>He also stated that the hospital has been without a fluoroscopy machine since 2011.<br \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-279018\" src=\"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/71047149_2461187970614815_856083013266571264_n-300x280.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/71047149_2461187970614815_856083013266571264_n-300x280.jpg 300w, https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/71047149_2461187970614815_856083013266571264_n-768x716.jpg 768w, https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/71047149_2461187970614815_856083013266571264_n.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>According to Shangula, the lack of a fluoroscopy machine in a hospital has a negative impact on the operation of the hospital, thus include delay in diagnoses, and delay in management of cases and referral of patients to private institution at high cost.<br \/>\u201cDuring the time when the hospital did not have the fluoroscopy machine, the hospital was forced to refer patients to private institutions,\u201d he said.<br \/>He stated the government allocated funds to the Ministry in order to buy the fluoroscopy machine, which was acquired at a cost of more than N$5 million, and will cater for a catchment population of more than one million people.<br \/>Speaking at the same event, FNB Retail Banking Executive Officer, Nangula Kauluma, said that the bank through its FirstRand Trust is pleased to partner with the Ministry of Health and Social Services to build a firm foundation for protecting the health and well-being of the people, as well as to preserve an unfettered and conducive environment in which to practice and administer medicine.<br \/>FNB through its Trust donated medical equipment valued at N$350 000 to the hospital, with aim of addressing the backlog of medical equipment\u2019s the hospital is currently facing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\"><!-- MetaSlider 271797 not found --><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":10,"featured_media":279019,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[24],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-278997","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.6 -
