{"id":278204,"date":"2019-09-08T19:31:34","date_gmt":"2019-09-08T17:31:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=278204"},"modified":"2019-09-08T19:31:37","modified_gmt":"2019-09-08T17:31:37","slug":"young-team-will-do-namibia-proud","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=278204","title":{"rendered":"Young team will do Namibia proud"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Ni\u00ebl Terblanch\u00e9<\/p>\n<p>ON the eve of flying out to participate in the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan, the Namibian National Rugby Team is set to do the nation proud.<br \/>Head Coach, Phil Davies, after the second victory over the Isuzu Southern Kings in Walvis Bay on Saturday said the team has worked very hard to get into top form over the past four years and is ready to give a superior account during their campaign in Japan. <br \/>\u201cWe have a young team that is looking forward to go to Japan and do our country and the Fish Eagle proud.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video aligncenter\"><video height=\"474\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 854 \/ 474;\" width=\"854\" controls src=\"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/70329029_156280195567139_1550014112117694528_n.mp4\"><\/video><figcaption> Footage: Ni\u00ebl Terblanch\u00e9 <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"js_4\" class=\"_5pbx userContent _3576\" data-testid=\"post_message\" data-ft=\"{&quot;tn&quot;:&quot;K&quot;}\">\n<p>Davies referred to New Zealand and South Africa that will be competing against Namibia in the pool stage of the tournament and said the team has their work cut out for them.<br \/>\u201cWhat we saw in Walvis Bay was a nation behind their team and that is very important for the guys when they compete against the best teams in the world.\u201d<br \/>Seasoned world cup players like the vice captain Tjiuee Uanivi and Pieter Jan van Lill along with first timer Max Katjijeko were all excited at the prospect of competing in Japan and said that support from home is extremely important to them when the going gets tough.<br \/>The Namibian team will leave for Japan on 12 September where they will face Italy and former world champions South Africa in quick succession before tackling the current world champions New Zealand and Canada in the pool stage of the tournament.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\"><!-- MetaSlider 271797 not found --><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":10,"featured_media":278218,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[24,28],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-278204","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-news","category-sports"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.5 -
