\nTHE Minister of Education, Arts and Culture, Katrina Hanse-Himarwa, who stands accused of corruption in in the Windhoek High Court, will hear her fate today as judgement is expected to be handed down.
\n\"\"After having listened to verbal heads of argument by both the prosecution and the accused person\u2019s defence counsel, High Court Judge Christie Liebenberg at the end of May this year, announced that he would deliver his verdict in the matter today at 10:00.
\nHanse-Himarwa stands accused manipulating housing beneficiary lists while still functioning as the Hardap Regional Governor. It was the State’s case during the corruption trial that she removed two names from the original mass housing list in Mariental and replacing them with the names of her relatives between 15 and 17 December 2014.
\nSince the start of the trial in October 2018, Hanse-Himarwa maintained that she is innocent and that she never manipulated or caused the beneficiary list to be manipulated by abusing her office or position as Regional Governor.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
