THREE boys between the ages of fifteen and twenty are in police custody for allegedly raping a teenage girl at Henties Bay over the weekend.
The 16-year-old victim, a learner at Kamwandi Primary school, has become yet another statistic in the rising avalanche of sexual violations against women and children in Namibia.
According to the Namibian police, the teenage girl was sexually assaulted at about 01:51 by three boys, ages 16, 18 and 19.
It is further alleged that the victim went out with her friends to a beauty pageant event and partied with the boys afterwards, where alcohol was consumed.
The suspects reportedly took her to one of their shacks while she was intoxicated and took turns raping her.
Police investigations continue.
