FAMILY and friends of Katrina Hanse-Himarwa packed the public gallery of the High Court in Windhoek to capacity while the embattled Minister of Education, Arts and Culture will await her fate as her corruption trial draws to a close.
Both the prosecution and defence is set to present their heads of argument before Judge Christie Liebenberg whereafter the judge will have to contemplate a verdict in the matter.
The charges of corruption and subsequent trial of Hanse-Himarwa stem from the time that she served as the Governor of the Hardap Region and she is accused of tampering with a housing beneficiary list to benefit members of her family.
