A LARGE part of the luxury !Uris Safari Lodge on the outskirts of Tsumeb was burned to the ground during a fire that erupted under a large thatched roof on Sunday night.
At this stage the cause of the fire is not yet known and according to the Tsumeb Police Station Commander no person was seriously injured during the blaze.
“Detectives returned to the scene of the fire on Monday to determine the actual cause of the fire that destroyed part of the lodge.”
!Uris Safari Lodge is situated about 20 kilometres west of Tsumeb on the road towards Oshivelo and borders several historic mines and the world famous Lake Otjikoto.
