Decomposed body of homeless man found in Keetmanshooop

AFTER grisly remains of a decomposed man’s body was found in the Kavango West last week, the Namibian police has reported that another decaying body of a male was found by a person collecting firewood on Saturday.
It is alleged that the body was found in Keetmanshoop on Saturday, 18 May, at about 13h00 in the veld nearby the Golf club.
The body was found under the tree on a mattress.
According to a friend of the deceased, the remains belong to a homeless man he only knew as Clinton Jaar Langman whose relatives reportedly live in the Mariental/Stampriet area.
The friend and the deceased reportedly also use to sleep under the same tree, but that the friend ‘relocated’ to the dumping site about two weeks ago.
His next of kin is not yet located and therefore, have not been informed of his death.
Police investigation continues.

One of the suspects, a 20-year-old male, was arrested at the scene. The remaining suspects ran away before the police arrived, but they are known and police expect to make an arrest soon.
In another related report, a 37-year-old Namibian, Sikunda Lukas Anton, on Sunday afternoon drowned in a river after he had an epileptic seizure while canoeing.
The deceased, who is from Sigone village in Kavango West, had taken the canoe to Angola’s side of the river to fish when the seizure occurred.
