The 43-year-old Michael Noabeb is recuperating in the Usakos State Hospital after another man shot him with a bow and arrow in his neck at the Kudubis Pos 8 in the area of Tubusis on Christmas Day.
The Erongo Regional Crime Investigations Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu said the attacker, the 37-year-old Mwetufa Vetuvelipi, was arrested shortly after the incident and will face a charge of attempted murder when he appears before a magistrate in Usakos on Thursday.
“At this stage it is not clear what the circumstance preceding the attack were. The victim sustained a deep wound in his throat when the suspect shot him with the arrow.”
The victim was taken to the Usakos State Hospital and suspect was arrested after a case of attempted murder was registered with the police at Tubusis.
Deputy Commissioner Iikuyu said the investigation into the matter will continue.
