Basketball school league restarts

THE Namibia Basketball School League (NBSL) opened the second leg of the season with a action packed tournament over the past weekend.
The NBSL is a schools’ league that started its first ever basketball league in 2018.
The league attracts schools from the public and private sector to compete in different age groups: U11, U14, U16 and U19 divisions and is run by the Namibian Basketball Federation.
The games took place at the Katutura Youth Complex, with the Under 16 girls’ team setting the tone with a massive 38-10 win against Amazing Kids and the under 14 girls also securing a win against Van Rhyn School with a score line of 20-0.
Saturdays games were played at the Chairman Mao Zedong High School in Otjomuise and the Windhoek International Under 14 girls’ team continued its winning streak and scooped another win against People’s Primary School, ending the game 20-0.
Mandume Primary School Under-14 girls also take home a win with a 20-0 score against Gammams. The Van Rhyn Under 14 boys beat Gammams Primary 20-0.
The older divisions also served up some action, with Khomas High School taking the win away from St. George’s 20- 0. Dawid Bezuidenhout High School beat the Under 16 Boys from Amazing Kids 20- 0. While the Under 19 boys saw Windhoek International beat St. Georges 20- 0.
