WITH a score of 330/6 the end of their inning, Bangladesh put up the highest score in this edition of the 2019 Cricket World Cup tournament against South Africa so far.
At the end of the 50th over South Africa still needed 21 runs to reach the formidable target set by Bangladesh in their inning of the One Day International Match at The Oval in London.
Bangladesh had the South Africans against the ropes from the very beginning after the opening batsmen Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan put together a record partnership.
The pair scored 142 runs for the third wicket to notch up Bangladesh’s highest World Cup partnership. The aggressive batting display backed by enthusiastic support at The Oval also bagged them their highest ODI score ever.
