Action packed day on the cards for rugby enthusiasts

WHEN the Springboks tackle the Kiwis later today shortly before midday today the atmosphere will be thick with excitement because the two nations opening match in the 2019 Rugby World Cup will be one of the many mini final played during the tournament.
Although the Kiwis are the reigning champions the Springboks are widely regarded as one of the strongest contenders for the coveted trophy in this year’s tournament after their level of playing improved drastically over the past year and their new coach blew extra energy and motivation into the team. The two rugby giants are predicted to meat up again in the knock-out stages of the tournament.

The host nation, Japan, got off to a flying start when they opened their 2019 Rugby World Cup campaign with a 30 – 10 victory over Russia in the opening match of the in the Tokyo Stadium.
Although the Russians lost the match they had the honour of scoring the first try of tournament early in the opening match against the Japanese team.
The rugby action will start at 06:45 when the Ausies takes on the Fijians for their maiden match of the tournament.
Two and a half hours later the French will take on the Argentineans at 09:15.
The mini final between the Kiwis and the Springboks will start at 11:45.
On Sunday, Namibia will take on the Azzuri, followed by Ireland against Scotland with England and Tonga playing the last match of weekend.
Kick off time for the match between in Namibia and Italy is set for 07:15 on Sunday morning.
