NAMIBIAN mixed martial artist Veja “Hinda Boy” Hinda defeated Godfrey “FeralSpunky” Mkhwanazi by technical knockout in the first round of the main event at EFC 139 in Sandton, South Africa, on Thursday night.

Hinda secured the victory at 1 minute and 35 seconds after landing a series of strikes, including a left high kick and punches, which sent Mkhwanazi to the canvas. The referee stopped the fight, declaring Hinda the winner by knockout.

Speaking at the post-event press conference, Hinda said he was delighted with the result, especially after putting in six weeks of preparation for the fight.

“I’m ecstatic. Feeling really good. You know, put in so much work, six weeks leading up to this fight to end it in a minute and a half, you know, main event. That’s the way you put a stamp to an event,” he said.

Asked whether Coenie “The Prophecy” Lamprecht remained a potential opponent, Hinda said he was ready for the fight and that the decision was ultimately up to Lamprecht.

“I’m keen. I’m ready to go. This fight was, like I said, a minute and a half. So if he wants to go in December,” Hinda said.
