PRESIDENT Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has received Letters of Credence from nine newly accredited Heads of Mission, formally beginning their diplomatic engagements with Namibia and reaffirming the country’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
The Heads of Mission, representing Nigeria, Germany, Türkiye, Sudan, the Philippines, Panama, Mali, Greece and Pakistan, presented their Letters of Credence to the President at State House.
The President received Esther Adebola Arewa, High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; Thomas Wimmer, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany; Fikriye Aslı Güven, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye; Osman Abufatima Adam Mohammed, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan; Myla Grace Ragenia C. Macahilig, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines; Rodrigo Guillermo Chiari Álvarez, Ambassador of the Republic of Panama; Seydou Coulibaly, Ambassador of the Republic of Mali; Efthalia Liana Kakiopoulou, Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic; and Muhammad Amjad Aziz Qazi, High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The presentation of Letters of Credence formally accredits the Heads of Mission to represent their respective countries in Namibia and marks the beginning of their official diplomatic engagements with the Government.
Nandi-Ndaitwah welcomed the newly accredited Heads of Mission and reaffirmed Namibia’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and advancing cooperation with their respective countries in areas of mutual interest.
The President wished the Ambassadors and High Commissioners success during their respective tenures and expressed confidence that their service in Namibia would contribute to deepening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Namibia and their countries.
