NAMIBIA will face the United States in an ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 clash at Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas today, with the hosts entering the contest in strong form and Namibia looking to improve their position on the standings.
The match, scheduled for 17:00 Namibia time, forms part of the 2026 United States Tri-Nation Series, which also features the United Arab Emirates.
The USA go into the match after beating the UAE by six wickets on Monday. The UAE posted 330/8 before the USA reached 332/4 in 48.5 overs, with Milind Kumar scoring an unbeaten 116 to earn Player of the Match honours.
Namibia’s previous match against the UAE on 3 October ended without a result after rain reduced the contest to 20 overs, with only two overs possible.
Namibia’s squad includes captain Gerhard Erasmus, Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton, Jan Frylinck, JJ Smit, Bernard Scholtz, Malan Kruger, Zane Green, Michael van Lingen, Ruben Trumpelmann, Louren Steenkamp, Jan Balt, Alexander Volschenk, Jack Brassell, Max Heingo, Waldo Smith and Junior Taanyanda.
The USA squad includes captain and wicketkeeper Monank Patel, Milind Kumar, Harmeet Singh, Shehan Jayasuriya, Ehsan Adil, Smit Patel, Shubham Ranjane, Saurabh Netravalkar, Shayan Jahangir, Jasdeep Singh, Hassan Khan, Ali Khan, Nosthush Kenjige, Sanjay Krishnamurthi, Yasir Mohammad, Saiteja Mukkamalla, Rushil Ugarkar and Ritvik Appidi.
