THREE men, aged 25, 26 and 27, are expected to appear in court in Swakopmund for allegedly trying to kidnap two minor boys.
According to Senior Inspector Judith Shomongula of the Erongo police, the incident happened on Saturday, 3 October 2026, at around 09:00 in DRC location.
It is alleged that the suspects attempted to kidnap the complainant’s son and nephew by forcing them into their car without their consent.
The victims are 12- and 13-year-old Namibian males.
It is further alleged that, whilst the boys were walking on their way to buy fish on a Saturday morning, a car stopped next to them and three masked men jumped out and grabbed them to throw them in the car.
Sources further allege that the boys could see a tied-up kid in the back of the car before they escaped.
