RESIDENTS of Pioneerspark and Academia will experience a planned water supply interruption on tomorrow (6 October 2026), from 08:00 to 16:00 while the City of Windhoek carries out essential pipe repairs and infrastructure upgrades.
The City said the shutdown is necessary to allow its maintenance team to carry out the repair and upgrade works.
Due to the complexity of the technical operations, the team will work continuously to ensure that the water supply is safely and fully restored by Tuesday evening.
Residents have been advised to make alternative water arrangements for their basic needs before the shutdown begins on Tuesday morning.
The City also urged residents to ensure that all taps, valves and appliances connected to the water supply remain fully closed during the interruption.
The City apologised for the inconvenience caused by the maintenance work and thanked residents for their patience, cooperation and understanding.
