ONE person died on the spot and four others were injured on Tuesday afternoon after an Iveco bus crashed into roadside vendors at Ondangwa.
Regional Police Commander Commissioner Andreas Shilelo confirmed that the four injured were rushed to hospital, with one in critical condition. Two stationary vehicles were also damaged in the accident.
According to Shilelo, the bus driver escaped without injury but was taken in for an alcohol test.
Police investigators have visited the scene and are gathering information to determine what caused the crash.
“Further details will be made available in due course,” Shilelo said.
