THE Namibia Water Corporation (NamWater) and Northern Graphite Okanjande Mining (Pty) Ltd have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a technical partnership focused on bulk water supply solutions.
“The partnership focuses on assessing viable water supply options to support mining operations, in line with NamWater’s mandate to deliver water in a sustainable, equitable, and scientifically sound manner,” NamWater said.
The MoU was signed during the Mining Expo & Conference hosted by the Chamber of Mines Namibia. NamWater said the partnership will focus on exploring sustainable bulk water supply alternatives for the Okanjande graphite mine, located near Otjiwarongo.
“This milestone also reflects the value of continued participation in industry platforms such as the Mining Expo that enable meaningful collaboration and real outcomes,” NamWater added.
