THE Namibian Police in the Erongo Region are investigating a murder incident involving Namibian man Vatileni Jeremia Shinoomwenyo (37), who was found by officers lying in a pool of blood in front of police residential units in Swakopmund.
According to Senior Inspector Judith Shomongula, the murder incident occurred in Mondesa.
“The body of Vatileni Jeremia Shinoomwenyo was discovered in a pool of blood in the gateway of Mondesa Police Barracks. The police attended to the scene and immediately summoned the Swakopmund Municipality Ambulance. Vatileni was treated and transported to Swakopmund State Hospital, where he was pronounced dead,” Shomongula said.
She added that, upon inspection, head injuries were observed on the victim.
The next of kin were informed, and the body is being kept at the Walvis Bay Police Mortuary for an autopsy.
