THE Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare has urged all beneficiaries who have not received their grant payments to visit a pension office before the end of the month, as no further administrative processing of these accounts will take place thereafter.
“The Ministry requests all affected beneficiaries who have not yet visited the pension office in their respective regions after their payments were suspended to do so urgently before 31 July 2026. No further administrative processing on this matter will be done after 31 July 2026,” the ministry’s Acting Executive Director, Rosina Museke-Mubonenwa, said.
The appeal follows the suspension of payments to some beneficiaries after the ministry identified discrepancies between their personal details and the National Population Register. Museke-Mubonenwa explained that those affected include beneficiaries using old South West Africa identity documents, outdated Namibian identity documents, those who have not submitted their official national identity documents, and those using identity documents belonging to deceased persons.
She said the ministry began paying verified beneficiaries in July and will continue processing backdated payments until September 2026.
“The Ministry started paying reviewed beneficiaries in July and will continue making these payments until September 2026. If you have not received your full payment after the September payment cycle, please visit your nearest pension office for assistance. We are to address the issue of back pay and those who are to receive it,” Museke-Mubonenwa said.
