NAMIB Desert Diamonds (Pty) Ltd (NAMDIA) has selected 32 companies from around the world to form its new client base for the 2026/27 to 2028/29 period, following a competitive selection process that attracted 75 applications from 10 countries.
The state-owned diamond marketing and sales company said the selection process reflected continued international confidence in the quality and value of Namibian natural diamonds, with applications received from Namibia, Belgium, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), India, Hong Kong, Israel, Singapore, the United States of America, Armenia and Zimbabwe.
NAMDIA said the successful applicants were chosen through a comprehensive evaluation process based on predetermined criteria, and the appointed clients will partner with the company over the next three years to market and sell Namibian diamonds.
The new client list includes companies from Namibia, including Avalon Diamonds Namibia, Fine Star Jewellery and Diamonds Namibia (Pty) Ltd, Gayane Trading Namibia, Sinco Investments Namibia and Stargems Manufacturing Namibia (Pty) Ltd.
From Belgium, the selected clients are AC Diam BV, Dali Diamonds NV, Dev Jewels BV, Diamond Trading NV, Diamwill BVBA, Gem Blue BV, IGC Group NV, Pluczenik Diamond Company NV, Rosy Blue NV and SV Gems NV.
The UAE-based clients are Choron DMCC, DA Trading DMCC, Dhamani Jewels DMCC, Diarush FZCO, M Suresh Company DMCC, Samir Gems FZCO, SBMH Group FZCO and The Source Diamonds DMCC.
India’s successful applicants include Chintan Gems BV, Dharmanandan Diamonds Pvt Ltd, Dia Jewel NV, Diamond India Limited, Jasani India Pvt Ltd, Narola Diamonds Pvt Ltd, Ratnakala Exports Pvt Ltd, Shree Ramkrishna Exports Pvt Ltd (SRK) and Venus Jewel.
NAMDIA congratulated the successful applicants and said it looked forward to developing strong, transparent and mutually beneficial partnerships with its new clients.
The company also thanked all organisations that participated in the selection process, saying the high number and quality of applications demonstrated strong global demand for access to Namibia’s diamonds.
“While not all applicants could be accommodated, NAMDIA encourages interested companies to participate in future client selection processes when applications reopen,” the company said.
NAMDIA said it remains committed to maximising long-term value from Namibia’s diamond resources through responsible marketing, good governance and strategic partnerships that contribute to sustainable economic development.
