On the first day of the visit, Nandi-Ndaitwah and her delegation met with Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, along with Guangdong provincial leaders.

She said the visit was expected to create valuable opportunities for the Namibian delegation and the accompanying business community to strengthen economic ties and explore new areas of cooperation.

Huang welcomed the President and her delegation, describing Guangdong as the economic powerhouse of China.

He expressed confidence that the visit would elevate China–Namibia cooperation, further deepen bilateral relations and strengthen the longstanding friendship between the two countries.
