AGRIBANK’S newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Robert Eiman, officially assumed duty on 1 July 2026, marking the start of a five-year term as the institution advances a major organisational transformation aimed at strengthening agricultural finance delivery in Namibia.
Eiman takes over leadership of Namibia’s premier agricultural lender at a critical juncture, as the bank seeks to enhance its long-term sustainability and impact amid challenges such as climate change, low agricultural productivity and fragmented value chains. The transformation agenda is expected to position Agribank to deliver more innovative and inclusive financing solutions to the agriculture sector.
His appointment comes shortly after the installation of a new Board of Directors, chaired by Ms Silvia Makgone, with Prof Colin Stanley as Deputy Chairperson. The board also includes Ms Victoria Mbundje, Mr Kingsley Kwenani, Ms Foibe Fabiano, Dr Omu Kakujaha-Matundu and Mr Adrianus Vugs, who will serve a three-year term providing strategic oversight.

Speaking during a staff address, Makgone reaffirmed the Board’s support for the new CEO, emphasising the importance of fiduciary responsibility, turnaround leadership and a purpose-driven approach aligned with Agribank’s mandate to drive agricultural development.
Eiman is a seasoned executive with experience spanning microfinance, commercial and corporate banking, and development finance. He joins Agribank from Nampost Financial Brokers (POSTFIN), where he served as CEO, and previously held senior roles at the Development Bank of Namibia and First National Bank of Namibia.
He expressed enthusiasm about joining the institution and working with staff to advance Agribank’s mandate, saying he is committed to supporting farmers, agri-preneurs and agribusinesses in achieving greater success.
