THE FIFA Fan Festival has reached the two million visitor mark as football fans across North America continue to celebrate the FIFA World Cup 2026 amid an action-packed opening phase of the tournament.

The FIFA Fan Festival is the official fan destination of the FIFA World Cup 2026, bringing together football supporters and local communities to celebrate the tournament outside the stadiums.

It provides fans with a place to watch live matches on large screens while enjoying football-themed activities, music, cultural performances, food, entertainment and interactive experiences. The festival creates a shared atmosphere where fans from different countries can connect, celebrate their teams and experience the excitement and spirit of the World Cup.

The milestone was reached after 1,992,302 visitors attended FIFA Fan Festival events during the first round of matches, with venues across the 13 host cities in Canada, Mexico and the United States drawing large crowds.

The three Mexican host cities have recorded the highest attendance figures so far, with Mexico City attracting 527,100 visitors, followed by Monterrey with 244,710 and Guadalajara with 218,424.

The FIFA Fan Festival events have provided supporters with opportunities to watch matches, experience entertainment and take part in the global football celebration.

The opening group-stage matches have produced several notable results, including a 7-1 victory for Germany over Curaçao, a 6-0 win for Canada against Qatar, and strong performances from teams such as Argentina, England, France and Norway.

Other early results include Mexico’s 2-0 victory over South Africa, the United States’ 4-1 win against Paraguay, Sweden’s 5-1 defeat of Tunisia, and England’s 4-2 victory over Croatia.
