A CASE of rape and assault by threat was opened belatedly at the Outapi police station after a 71-year-old male suspect allegedly raped his own biological daughter two months ago.
The crime is alleged to have occurred in Oikokola village on the 9th of April 2026.
It is alleged that the suspect, who is the father of the 19-year-old victim, entered her bedroom at night and raped her. Thereafter, he allegedly threatened that he would kill her should she disclose the incident to anybody.
The police said the suspect has been apprehended and is expected to appear in court on Friday.
