BANK Windhoek has officially opened its Goreangab Mall Digital Banking Hub in Windhoek, expanding access to banking services for residents of Goreangab, Katutura and surrounding areas during the inauguration of the new Goreangab Mall, attended by President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and other senior government officials.
The President visited the hub on Friday, 5 June 2026, during the mall’s official opening and interacted with customers and staff. She was accompanied by Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare and Khomas Governor Sam Nujoma, while Bank Windhoek Managing Director James Chapman received her at the branch.
The Goreangab Mall opening was described by the President as a symbol of economic transformation, inclusion and increased investment in historically underserved communities. The development brings retail and essential services closer to residents, reducing travel distances and costs while creating new economic opportunities.

The new banking hub operates as an extension of Bank Windhoek’s Katutura Branch and is designed to combine in-person assistance with self-service banking options. It aims to improve convenience and accessibility in one of Windhoek’s busiest residential areas, reflecting the bank’s strategy of delivering services closer to customers.
The facility allows customers to use self-service machines and cash-accepting ATMs, access statements, print bank confirmation letters and manage card services in a secure environment. It operates from 08:30 to 15:30, while self-service facilities remain available until 18:00.
Bank Windhoek Managing Director James Chapman said the opening marks another step in the bank’s efforts to expand accessible and innovative financial services across Namibia, adding that the institution remains committed to supporting communities with improved service delivery.
The President welcomed the initiative, commending Bank Windhoek for bringing services closer to the people. A customer at the hub, Hashikuti Victory, said the facility would save residents time and costs by reducing the need to travel long distances for banking services.
