National Enduro Championship – Leg 3, Omaruru

OMARURU formed the backdrop for Round 3 of the Namibian Enduro Championship. The course was quick, challenging, and demanded the participants’ full attention from start to finish.

In the Class 2 Pro Open, QZ van Rooyen clocked the four rounds in 3 hours, 18 minutes and 43 seconds, with Heiko Stranghoner 6 minutes back. Killian Hamm completed the podium, 8 minutes behind top spot Van Rooyen.

In the Class 5 Senior Pro, Jorn Greiter claimed the gold in a time of 3 hours, 44 minutes and 37 seconds, while the Class 7 Intermediate Gold went to Duard Wiese in a time of 3 hours, 22 minutes and 2 seconds.

The Rookie Junior title went to Vincent Griebel, while Hilmar Griebel pocketed the gold in the Senior Rookie division. The beginner class was ruled by Cedric Wilckens, while the Women Development class was ruled by Melieke Steyl in a time of 1 hour, 48 minutes and 24 seconds in their four-round outing.

Riders thanked the organisers, officials, sponsors, and everyone who helped make the event a success.

The hard work continues, as some of the riders will turn their focus to the next challenge as they prepare for the Impi Hard Enduro in South Africa.
