A 33-YEAR-OLD man was arrested in Windhoek over the weekend for allegedly fatally stabbing his girlfriend.
According to the police, the incident occurred at the Olukanda lwa Mkwanangobe informal settlement in Windhoek. The suspect allegedly stabbed his 31-year-old girlfriend with a kitchen knife.
“It is alleged that the victim was found in a pool of blood with two suspected stab wounds to the left side of her neck. It is further alleged that the couple was last seen together at approximately 03:00 at the deceased’s cousin’s residence. After returning to their home, an argument allegedly broke out, which led to the stabbing,” the police said.
The police confirmed that the victim’s next of kin have been informed.
