This was announced by the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, which revealed that the agreement will be signed under the banner of the Namibia for Life initiative.
“The agreement will be signed under the Project Finance for Permanence approach, a model designed to secure long-term funding, policies and systems needed to sustain conservation over the long term,” the ministry explained.
The signing of the agreement will take place on Wednesday, 20 May 2026, at Droombos.
“This landmark event will be witnessed by the Right Honourable Prime Minister, Dr Tjitunga Elijah Ngurare, alongside the Minister of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, Honourable Indileni Daniel.
