Erongo Police seek public assistance in tracing missing teen

THE Namibian Police in the Erongo Region are seeking public assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Rachel Joy Hailonga, an 18-year-old Namibian female.

According to Senior Inspector Judith Shomongula, the teen went missing on Sunday, 3 May 2026, around 09:00 from Doboma Street, Kuisebmund, Walvis Bay.

“According to the mother, she left the house on Sunday morning, 03/05/2026, at around 09:00 and has not returned home to date. It is further alleged that family members and friends were contacted, but no one has seen her or communicated with her,” Shomongula said.

Hailonga is brown in complexion and speaks English and Oshiwambo. She was last seen wearing black pants, a black hoodie jersey, and black sandals. She has medium-sized black braided rasta hair.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is requested to contact Warrant Officer Naftali Mwatile on 081 290 2660 or the nearest police station.

Police investigations continue.
