THE Namibian Police in the Omusati Region have arrested a 26-year-old man for allegedly murdering a male resident of Omuthitugwonyama village.
Police allege that the suspect killed the victim by smashing his head with a brick. He then allegedly desecrated the body by undressing the victim and cutting off and skinning the private parts.
The incident occurred at the Uushwa cuca shops in the Onandjaba policing area on Thursday evening.
According to Omusati Regional Police Commander, Commissioner Ismael Basson, the arrested suspect also faces an attempted murder charge for attacking another victim who survived and managed to run away.
