THREE accused persons have been denied bail following their arrest in connection with a housebreaking incident in Auasblick.
According to the Windhoek City Police, the arrests were made after receiving a tip-off from members of the public. The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 on 23 April 2026. Members of the Windhoek City Police Service and NamPol responded jointly to the report of a housebreaking in progress. Upon arrival, officers found the suspects inside the vacant property and immediately apprehended them. The accused are repeat offenders who have previously been arrested on numerous occasions for similar offences.
The accused have been identified as Gabriel Tobias (39), Sylvester Niilenge (41) and Faraneus Shivute Mulinei (47). They will remain in custody until their next appearance on 22 June 2026.
The Windhoek City Police Service commends the vigilant members of the public whose swift action contributed to these arrests. Community cooperation remains essential in the prevention of crime, and residents are encouraged to continue reporting suspicious activities promptly so that offenders can be brought to justice.
