THE Inspector General of the Namibian Police, Lieutenant-General Joseph Shikongo, has announced key appointments and transfers of four senior officers, effective 1 May 2026.
Oshana Regional Commander Naftal Lungameni Sakaria has been transferred to the Office of the Inspector General to take over as Presidential Security Chief, replacing Commissioner Andreas Nelumbu, who has been appointed Kavango West Regional Commander.
Replacing Sakaria in Oshana is Commissioner Andreas Shipingana Shilelo. He moves from Zambezi, where Commissioner Julia Sakua-Neo takes over, having been transferred from the Kavango West Region.
