NAMIBIA will host the first-ever African Young Women Knowledge Festival in Windhoek later this month.
Elretha Schroeder, the Secretary-General of the Young Women of Africa (YWOA) Namibia Chapter, announced that the event aims to bring together young women leaders, innovators, and change-makers from across the continent. She explained that the festival will serve as a platform for knowledge-sharing, dialogue, and collaboration, with a focus on critical issues such as leadership, entrepreneurship, gender equality, and social transformation.
“Local and international delegates are expected to participate in panel discussions, workshops, and networking sessions designed to empower young women and strengthen continental partnerships. This landmark event positions Namibia as a growing hub for youth leadership and gender advocacy, reflecting both the progress made and the opportunities that remain in advancing women’s empowerment.”
The event is set to take place on 24 and 25 April 2026 at the Hilton Hotel in Windhoek.
“This festival is more than an event; it is a movement. It is about ensuring that young women take their place in shaping Africa’s future,” said the Secretary General of the Young Women of Africa (YWOA) Namibia Chapter.
