UPDATE: High Court Judge Claudia Claasen has found Mecthilde Karomo (33) guilty on two counts of murder with direct intent for the killing of her late boyfriend, Leonard Haupindi (36), and his new lover, Annastasia Matende (31). It is alleged that Karomo set the shack in which the two deceased had been sleeping on fire in the early hours of 26 December 2022 in Okahandja Park. It is further alleged that Karomo had been enraged by the fact that the late Haupindi had started seeing a new woman and had threatened him that he would not sleep in his home with his new lover, as she would set it on fire, a few hours prior to the incident. Karomo was also found guilty on a charge of arson. Full story to follow.
