NO INJURIES were reported when an Iveco bus crashed into an elephant on the Omakange–Iitananga main road around 06:00 on Thursday. Although the bus occupants escaped unharmed, the vehicle itself was damaged. Omusati Regional Police Commander Ismael Basson said that the severity of the elephant’s injuries was not immediately clear, as it left the scene and disappeared into the wilderness.
