PRESIDENT Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has extended Easter well-wishes to Namibians, urging unity, reflection, and road safety during the holiday period.
In her Easter message, the President remarked on the spiritual significance of the occasion, adding that it represents sacrifice, compassion, forgiveness, and the triumph of hope over despair. She said these values should continue to guide the nation in fostering unity, understanding, and care for vulnerable communities.
Nandi-Ndaitwah called on citizens to use the Easter period as a time to reflect on their shared responsibility to build a peaceful, inclusive, and prosperous Namibia, while renewing their commitment to national unity and reconciliation.
She also raised concern over the high number of road accidents typically recorded during the Easter weekend, urging motorists to exercise caution, drive responsibly, and prioritise the safety of all road users.
The President further expressed appreciation to members of the security services, healthcare workers, and other essential personnel who remain on duty during the holiday period.
She concluded by wishing all Namibians a blessed, peaceful, and joyful Easter weekend filled with renewed hope and faith.
