UPDATE: Inspector Sem Amutenya, Unit Commander of the Tsumeb Traffic Unit, has said that the road has been successfully cleared after a truck jack-knifed about 15 kilometres from Tsumeb towards Otavi. Amutenya said that the road had been wet while the truck was travelling downhill, causing its trailer to swing and momentarily block the road. He added that traffic officers also contained an oil spillage on the road by covering it with sand to prevent further incidents; however, motorists are advised to take caution on the roads.
