A VIDEO circulating on social media has captured a rare and striking sight at Hidden Valley, near Twyfelfontein, where recent rainfall has transformed the typically dry landscape into a flowing river and temporary waterfall.
The footage, shared on social media, shows water cascading through the valley, an unusual occurrence in a region known for its arid conditions and sparse rainfall. The surrounding Twyfelfontein area, located in north-western Namibia, are characterised by desert terrain, making such scenes both rare and visually remarkable.
The recent rains, which have affected several parts of the country, have brought relief to some areas but have also resulted in unexpected natural spectacles like this one.
