THE police reported that several fatal road accidents occurred over the weekend.
One of these accidents claimed the life of a seven-year-old girl in Shadimbungu village. According to the police, the girl was struck by a vehicle as she ran across the road. The police identified the deceased as Thifura Angeline Mushinga. Her next of kin have been informed.
The police further revealed that another fatal accident recently occurred on the B10 road at or near Mayara village, Nkurenkuru. The deceased was allegedly struck by a vehicle as he crossed the road and died at the scene. The police have not yet revealed the identity of the deceased, nor confirmed whether his next of kin have been informed.
In a separate incident, a 31-year-old man, identified as Maxsun van Staden, lost his life in Walvis Bay after he allegedly drove into a parked vehicle. His next of kin have been informed.
