THE Windhoek City Police Service (WCPS) has warned vehicle owners that altering the colour of a motor vehicle without notifying the National Traffic Information System (NaTIS) is a serious offense that could give the impression of criminal activity.
During a recent taxi verification exercise, several vehicles were found to have unreported colour changes, highlighting the need for vehicle details to match official records. Owners who fail to inform their nearest registration authority risk having their vehicles impounded and their driving privileges suspended.
Vehicle owners requiring assistance or wishing to report issues can contact the WCPS at 061 302 302 or send a text message to 4444.
