PRESIDENT Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah received a courtesy visit from a delegation of the Royal Norwegian Embassy at State House, where discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, global economic developments, and opportunities for collaboration in Namibia’s emerging oil and gas sector.
The delegation was led by Strøm Ørnulf, counsellor at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in South Africa, who was accompanied by Klaus Endresen, the Honorary Consul of Norway to Namibia.
According to the Presidency, the meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on issues of mutual interest, including global economic trends and the importance of multilateral cooperation in addressing shared international challenges.

During the engagement, Nandi-Ndaitwah said that global conflicts and their economic consequences remain a concern for many countries, particularly smaller nations that rely on a stable international system based on international law and cooperation.
The discussions also reflected on the longstanding partnership between Namibia and Norway, with particular focus on opportunities for continued collaboration. These include Namibia’s developing oil and gas sector and the responsible management of natural resources to support sustainable national development.
Nandi-Ndaitwah welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for the continued engagement and strong relations between the two countries.
