THE Namibian police at Ondobe in the Ohangwena Region are investigating an incident in which a 9-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by two boys while she was on her way to school.
The incident occurred recently in the Onamunama village near the Namibia-Angola border.
It is alleged that two suspects found the victim, slapped her with open hands, assaulted her with sticks, and raped her.
They then threatened to beat her up again if she tells anyone about the incident.
A case of rape, common assault, and assault through threatening has been registered, but the two known minor suspects have not been arrested.
