Multiple arrests made for stock theft

SEVERAL people across multiple regions were arrested for stock theft.

One of these incidents involved three suspects, who were arrested for stealing and slaughtering donkeys at farm Swartkoppies. According to the police, the donkeys were valued at N$15,000 in total. The police revealed that the carcasses were recovered and returned to the owner, while the suspects were arrested on Saturday. The three suspects include one woman and two men.

The police also revealed that another stock theft incident took place. This incident occurred in Opuwo, where three goats, valued at N$2,300, were stolen. According to the police, the suspect is known. However, no recovery or arrests were made, and police investigations continue.

In a separate incident, a 34-year-old man was arrested in the Karasburg area for stealing and slaughtering a sheep from his employer’s farm. The police revealed that the sheep is valued at N$1,690. The suspect is in police custody and is expected to appear before the Karasburg Magistrate Court.
