A THREE-MONTH-OLD baby girl died tragically at Oshakati on Wednesday afternoon when she was left unattended in a shack while the nanny was taking a shower.
The incident occurred in the Evululuko location at around 15:00.
It is alleged that the nanny had just finished cooking and went to take a shower when the shack caught fire.
The fire was noticed by a neighbour who promptly alerted the nanny. She rushed out of the bathroom, but by then the fire had already engulfed the shack and the baby was burnt beyond recognition.
