Staff Reporter
FIRST Gentleman of Namibia, Lt Gen (rtd) Epaphras Denga Ndaitwah, delivered a presentation to senior military officers at the Namibia Command and Staff College, focusing on strategic leadership, management and the elements of national power.
Addressing students of the Senior Command and Staff Course 06/2026, Ndaitwah spoke on the importance of effective leadership and strategic planning in achieving national objectives.

During his presentation on Strategic Leadership and Management, Ndaitwah highlighted the evolution of strategy across various social spheres and its close connection to leadership and management practices. He emphasised the importance of sound policy formulation, effective implementation and continuous evaluation to ensure national goals are successfully achieved.
Speaking on the Elements of National Power, he underscored the role of these instruments in enabling a state to function efficiently while safeguarding national stability and survival. Ndaitwah stressed the need for government and institutions to adopt appropriate and effective strategies to improve service delivery and support the achievement of national development objectives.
The Senior Command and Staff Course is attended by senior officers from the Namibian Defence Force, Botswana Defence Force, Kenya Defence Force, Tanzania Defence Force, Zambia Defence Force, as well as members of Namibia’s security cluster.
